2019 Springerville Rib Throwdown - Took home the bacon

Well, the 2019 Springerville Rib Throwdown is in the books. Ended up taking 1st in the bacon category and 15th in Ribs. Not too shabby for 33 teams. Congrats to Roughstock BBQ for RGC and DJ's Smokin' BBQ for GC.

Tellin you guys, if you havent tried Rich's River Dirt from Rich’s River Smokers West Virginia you need to! This stuff keeps getting me new hardware!

Very first call in a competition

The 2018 Springerville Rib Throwdown will always hold a place in my heart. I received my very first walk in a competition. It was only a 9th place call, but being only my 2nd competition as my own team, and out of 21 teams it is definitely not something to look past. I just need to get the recipe dialed in and smoke the competition next time!
